Data Deletion

In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa and applicable data protection regulations, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data held by Jams Digital (Pty) Ltd.

How to Request Data Deletion

To request the deletion of your personal data, please contact us using one of the following methods:

Subject line: Data Deletion Request

Please include the following in your request:

  1. Your full name
  2. The email address or phone number associated with your account or interaction with us
  3. A description of the data you would like deleted
  4. Any relevant account identifiers (if applicable)

We may retain certain data where required by law, including:

Facebook / Meta Login Data

If you have used Facebook Login or interacted with our services through Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram), you can also manage your data directly through Meta:

  1. Go to your Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
  2. Find Jams Digital or JamZilla Bot
  3. Click Remove to revoke access and request data deletion

TikTok Account Data

If you connected a TikTok account so that Jams Digital could publish or manage content on your behalf, you can revoke that access at any time:

  1. In the TikTok app, go to Profile → Menu → Settings and privacy
  2. Open Security & permissions → Manage app permissions
  3. Find Jams and select Remove to revoke access

Revoking access invalidates the stored authorisation. To also delete the access and refresh tokens and any related publishing records we hold, email info@jams.digital with the subject Data Deletion Request. We stop using TikTok tokens immediately on disconnection and delete them, along with related publishing records, within 30 days of a valid request.

Processing Time

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of receiving a valid request. If we require additional time or information, we will notify you.

Confirmation

Once your data has been deleted, we will send you a confirmation email to the address you provided in your request.
